This video is an introduction to waves for A Level Physics using my Jelly Baby Wave Machine.

You may remember most of this information from GCSE but this covers some of the wave properties you need to understand and introduces the jelly baby wave machine for the first time.

Mechanical waves require particles whereas electromagnetic waves do not. Transverse waves oscillate perpendicular to the wave’s direction whereas longitudinal waves oscillate in parallel to the wave’s direction.

Thanks for watching,

Lewis
