This video introduces electron energy levels for A Level Physics.

GCSE Chemistry was a lie, the electrons don’t just sit in their shell, they can also move about… Electrons can only exist in discrete levels of energy i.e. they cannot possess any amount of energy. When electrons are exited, they can jump up between levels and when they lose energy (in the form of photons) they drop back down. The difference in energy between energy levels is always discrete and are often specific to each atom.
